From waste
to wear-worthy
We use GRS-certified recycled polyester and polyamide to give waste a second life in our socks and swimwear. It’s fully traceable, held to strict standards, and a lot better for the planet. Here's how we make waste work harder.
PLASTIC, BUT MAKE IT FANTASTIC
Turning waste
into wardrobe
GRS, or the Global Recycled Standard, is the platinum standard for giving waste a second life. It certifies that the materials we use (like old PET bottles and other industrial waste) are actually recycled, responsibly processed, and traceable every step of the way. Less landfill, fewer emissions, and decreased reliance on virgin plastics.
When waste is done right, it just fits right.

TURNING THE TIDE
Starting from
the drawing table
We introduced recycled polyamide to our socks, and GRS-certified recycled polyamide and polyester to our swimwear, to push circular design forward. These aren't afterthoughts, they're conscious choices baked into the product from the start. Strong, soft, stretchy, and made from stuff you wouldn’t expect.
We believe sustainability should be built-in, not bolted on.

RECYCLED WITH RECEIPTS
Not all 'recycled'
is recycled equal
Anyone can say “recycled.” GRS proves it. It tracks the full chain, from waste collection to final product, ensuring the material is truly recycled and handled responsibly. It also checks for safe chemical use, social fairness, and environmental impact. Why it matters: GRS-certified recycled polyester can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 70%, and recycled polyamide (nylon) by up to 80%, compared to their virgin counterparts. This means less energy consumption, reduced waste, and a smaller carbon footprint.
A better informed wearer, makes better informed purchase decisions.

FROM TRASH TO TREASURE
More than just
plastic fantastic
Here’s the journey: Post-consumer or post-industrial waste like PET bottles or used fishing nets is collected, sorted, cleaned, and transformed into yarn. That yarn is then turned into soft, durable socks and sleek, quick-drying swimwear. Each step is certified under the GRS system, ensuring transparency and reduced environmental impact.
The result? Products that are comfy, cool, and kind to the planet.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Less waste,
more wins
The demand for recycled materials is growing, and rightly so. But with growth comes responsibility. GRS keeps our standards high and the process accountable. At A-dam, we’re committed to going beyond the bare minimum. We’re shifting more and more to post-consumer waste. The more value we give trash, the more profitable recycling becomes. Virgin resources are still way cheaper (ridiculous, we know), but as far as synthetic materials go we’re not cutting corners: recycled is the way forward.
For us circular isn’t a buzzword. It’s the baseline.
